Why Jesus Is Still the Answer in 2025?

From Parties, People, and Empty Promises: to the Only One Who Never Fails

Life in 2025 is… a lot. There is work, bills, and trying to figure out who you are. You try not to compare yourself to everyone on social media and wonder if you’ll ever truly be at peace. Some days, the challenge is just getting out of bed. Other days, it’s saying no to the same temptation you swore you’d beat last time. And in the middle of all of that, it’s easy to ask: Why Jesus?

To be honest, choosing the Lord was not at the top of my list either. It wasn’t because I didn’t love Him. I just thought I had enough time to rave, party, and “enjoy” my youthful life. In an indirect way, my actions said: God can wait until later. Maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe you’re still there now.

The truth is, a lot of us are living like that without even realizing it. We think we have it all together. Earthly treasures feel good for a while: the money, the career, the relationship, the lifestyle. But when life gets hard? None of that saves you. The car won’t fix your heartbreak. The job won’t carry you through depression. The boyfriend or girlfriend you’re obsessing over won’t give you lasting peace.

I’ll be real with you: I idolized partying. I idolized men. I wanted so badly to be in a relationship because I thought it validated me. I poured myself into their happiness more than my own. Crazy, right? And here’s the thing — I wasn’t a girl with low self-esteem. I was confident. But even the most confident person has battles to fight and lessons to learn.

And God… whew. He had to strip me of everything to show me He was the answer all along. The job, the money, the car, the lifestyle — all of it. Just like the prodigal son, I had to lose it all to realize that home is with Him.

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

That verse isn’t just a Sunday school memory verse. It’s the reason you’re alive. God loved you (and me) enough to send His Son to rescue us. This rescue is not just from hell after death. It also saves us from the emptiness we feel right now when we try to live without Him. Jesus isn’t boring. He isn’t just religion. He’s freedom. He’s peace. He’s the one thing in your life that won’t change when everything else does.

So why Jesus? Because He’s the only one who can give you real life. Not the highlight-reel life Instagram feeds you. Not the temporary happiness of the next trend. But eternal life. A love that never expires. A hope that doesn’t depend on circumstances. A grace that doesn’t run out when you mess up.

This week, I want you to ask yourself:
👉🏽 “If I really believed Jesus gave His life for me, how would my actions change? What steps would I take differently this week?”

Sit with that. Journal it. Pray it. Let it sink deep.

And remember: choosing Jesus isn’t about being perfect — it’s about choosing life
